The Club is fortunate to have hosted many of the world’s greatest cricketers. One of the pictures on display showed a West Indies touring side in the 1920s…others showed the splendid Rest of the World teams who took on England teams in festival games.
One of the most remarkable performances came from Sachin Tendulkar. Aged just 18, the player who is still regarded as one of the world’s greatest performers astounded the crowd – and hit the headlines – by hitting a ball right over the houses in Osborne Avenue!
