An exciting opportunity has arisen at Newcastle Cricket Club Ltd to drive the business forward by appointing an experienced Club Manager.
Newcastle Cricket Club CIC Ltd are a social enterprise (Community Interest Company), with cricket teams playing in the North East Premier League Cricket League and Northumberland & Tyneside Cricket League. We operate a thriving bar and function room which drive the activities on the Club. The club has seen its bar and terrace space increase hugely in popularity recently, and we are looking to recruit a Club Manager to take this forwards and join in the success. A bonus structure offering a percentage of operating profit will be paid, ensuring that the post holder shares in the successes of the club.
The post holder will take day to day management in an effective and efficient running of all of the clubs facilities, including the bar, function room, meeting room and terrace area to ensure a profitable business, whilst providing a space for all members of our community. Attracting and delivering high quality functions is a key component to this role. Management of bar staff to ensure bars are staffed appropriately is also essential to this role. The hours of the role are expected to be split between managerial duties and bar work.
The post holder would be responsible to The Board of Directors, Newcastle Cricket Club (Community) Ltd and day-to-day responsibility to one of its named Directors.
The post holder will be expected to act as the Designated Premises Supervisor
This is a salaried role, with a 40 hour work week on average, and 28 days paid holiday annually.
The applicant should hold a Personal License and act as the Designated Premises Supervisor.
The applicant must be available to start on 1st October 2021

The applicant should have experience of cellar management including serving of quality real ales
The applicant should have experience of managing bar staff
The applicant should have experience of managing and delivering functions or events
