Due to a late decision from Newcastle City Council to restrict our licence for live music to be played in the marquee only until 9pm, we have made the decision to move the entire September Shindig indoors into the club’s function room.

The good news is that the full line-up for bands, beers and food remain; the only change is to the venue.

One bonus to this is that now that we have saved on the cost of the marquee, we can cut admission prices to £7 for each day, and £14 for a weekend pass (3 days for the price of one).

This does mean, however, that we’re much closer to capacity than we were with the previous larger venue available to us, and so anyone wanting tickets should buy them in advance – click here for more. Once we hit our capacity allowed under the terms of our licence we will need to turn people away, so it’s first-come, first-served until then. Don’t miss out!

Those members who have already bought full-priced admission will be refunded the difference between their purchase price and the new rates on entry – simply speak to Nichola behind the bar when you arrive.

The bands performing this weekend will be as follows:

Early evening – Bobby T
Headliners – The Monologues

Early afternoon – Oughtibridge Training Brass Band
Late afternoon – Colours Duo
Early evening – The Deputies
Headliners – The Long Tall Beatles

Early afternoon – Bobby T
Late afternoon – Holly Noble
Early afternoon – The Parish
Headliners – The Happy Cats
