Junior WASP Awards 2014

A record number of junior players and families filled the Awards event, where the trophies were this year presented by Special Guest Durham County Cricket Club’s Michael Richardson. There was music from the Rock Project and a fantastic array of prizes for the raffle thanks to the generosity of parents and the organisational drive of Janet Cook!

140905D_051Thanks were expressed to event host Peter Hirst, standing down as Junior Coordinator after four years at the helm – he was presented with the magnificent Howzat cake made by Janet.

Team manager “Daisy” Davis was struck by the huge enthusiasm to get involved but made clear this would need ideally a second Under 11 team next season plus greater efforts to provide a separate dedicated coaching plan for the large number of Under 9s now getting involved.
