Durham County captain Phil Mustard took a break from chasing the championship trophy to meet award winners at Newcastle CC Junior WASPS Presentation Night.

A big turnout of parents and players heard Junior Co-ordinator Tom Leiper outline big progress this season in participation numbers, team performance and individual players picked for county involvement. Sixty newcomers have given cricket a try and many have stayed throughout the season. Boys and girls also had the chance to take part in four Summer Festivals.

The Club’s “JOIN THE BUZZ” campaign this season was supported by a grant from Sport England.

All the pictures of the winners will be added by Wednesday this week!
