Club Steward News

Prepare to shed a tear – Club Steward Allan Knaggs has decided he’ll be stepping back at the end of the cricket season, though we’re pleased he’ll continue to support the club, with his 52 years of expertise as well as pulling pints.

Allan joined the club “for six months to help out” ten years ago, and went on to be crucial to keep it going through the campaign to save it from closure, and then overseeing all the improvements, the big events like the Real Ale and Cider Festival and the Fireworks

With the CAMRA Club of the Year Award 2013 and and of course the Cricket Club of the Year 2012 award, he’s decided to give the others a chance now!
