Art show vote winner
This painting was the winner of the public vote at the ten day art exhibition staged by the North of England Art Club in the Thomson Pavilion Suite. “2/6d a load” was painted by Ray Campbell.
It faced tough competition from dozens of other works in a variety of styles. Second was Judy Appleby’s very original “Alnwick Castle” (which can be seen in the middle of the picture below), and Judy was also third with “Dunston Staithes”.
The club is now aiming to contact the entrant who guessed the public response most accurately. No-one got the right result! The closest voting slip was a little difficult to read – so if you voted and think you may be the winner, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
